Some men, you just can’t reach.

A single quote that represents all that is wrong with the Right and with the Anti-Choice crowd.

Regarding Planned Parenthood and a proposed new facility in Denver:

“Let’s face it, they’re in the business to kill babies for profit,” she said. “First and foremost, they get young girls hooked on their birth control pills, which don’t work[.]“

I read that, and just had to stop.  The shear level of ignorance in that statement coalesced into a slap in the face.  Planned Parenthood is for profit now?  That’s a new one.  Birth control is addictive?

It does do a nice job of showing the mindset behind these window lickers.  A healthy dose of misinformation tied up with hysterical language.  It also reveals the overall sentiment of most people who spend a lot of their time trying to control what others can do, the misconception that protection or acceptance of something at the abstract level equals direct encouragement for our virginal young daughters to go sleep with the blacks while smoking crack and voting for the communists..

Or something.

As an added bonus, a later quote attempts to say that locating the clinic in lower income area reveals the inherent racism of the planners, since those areas are predominantly African-American.   That represents a fairly new tack.
