It’s just consumer choice, right?
There has been quite the uproar over some comments made by the Archbishop of Canterbury, regarding the inevitability that British law will have to accommodate/assimilate some aspects of Sharia law. I can’t be arsed to find it, use Google. Much of it comes from the right wingery.
I’m just throwing this out there, but wouldn’t consumer agreeing to have commercial and marriage cases governed by Sharia law be nothing more then consumer choice, and therefore just a legitimate as mandatory binding arbitration. Who cares if it is biased and antithetical to American concepts of justice, they chose it, right? Even when they chose it under duress.
